Las Vegas Market has become the most comprehensive furniture, home décor and gift market in the Western United States. With over 2700 vendors and over 5 million square feet of showrooms and products to look at. Suppliers form all over the world are showing their wares here to entice us to bring into our stores and sell to our customers.

We attend this show every winter in effort to keep up with the new design trends for the coming year. We pick up new decorating ideas and tips, display tricks and ideas, marketing concepts and goals. It gives us a renewed sense of enthusiasm for the job. You come back with all these new ideas and it is kind of like Christmas down there with all the new pieces to look at and see.  

There are plenty of decisions to be made while we are down that will point us in the direction for the new year to come. We have only so much space to bring in new pieces and to be able to try out certain looks and styles. Certain pieces we really like but will it retail? Is it the quality we are looking for? Can we sell it at that Price? It is a cool piece but will it sell? Are our customers looking for something like this? Can we sell 2 of them or will we sell 20 in the next year? Lots of questions and all we have to go on is our gut and experience. We generally have a pretty good idea what our customers are looking for, but we have brought in some pieces that haven’t done what we thought they would. Staying ahead of the trends and staying fresh is the whole idea of going to the trade shows. Our customers expect to see something new and something different so we have to go!!
